I am greatly alarmed at the Bylaw changes that
occurred in 2007.
Please ask the Board of Trustees to restore the
Bylaws that existed prior to the changes that occurred in 2007, so that the
Archbishop of St. Paul and Minneapolis
automatically becomes Chairman of the Board with the power to appoint the
president of the university. This provides the greatest
assurance that the University will remain Catholic in the future.
Please present this letter to the Board at the next Board
meeting. I ask you to write me back and assure me that you
will do as I have requested, and to send copies of your response to both
Archbishop John Nienstedt and Archbishop Emeritus Harry Flynn.
